Efficiency is the useful power output versus the total power consumed, and  a BTU is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water one degree Fahrenheit. The BTU is what you are actually concerned with for this particular question, the efficiency is related to the power consumption and not the actual heat output. Hope this makes sense.</description>
